About our Club
VBCC is all about encouraging people to get out on their bikes and ride with fellow cycling enthusiasts. Whether you are new to the sport or an experienced cyclist we want you to come along and enjoy the ride in a friendly and supportive group.

Where we ride
We are situated on the edge of the beautiful Vale of Belvoir on the Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire border. Most of our rides start from Bingham Market Square. (what3words ///blown.headset.clan)
What to expect
We are predominately a road cycling club and most of our rides are aimed at this. However we embrace all types of cycling and want everyone to feel included. So if you love mountain or gravel biking you will be sure to find other like minded members who are happy to come on a ride. When you join our club, it becomes your club and we encourage all members to get involved and post their own rides too.
It's not all about the bike!
We’re a sociable bunch and enjoy getting together for a chat about our latest cycling purchases (or not!) Our Christmas and Summer socials are a good chance to show our fellow members that we do wear other clothes apart from Lycra!
Most rides involve a cafe stop and/or a post ride debrief at the pub. Shots are not compulsory on your birthday but it is a Saturday club ride tradition!
Ladies only
We have rides that are specifically aimed at encouraging women into cycling, where they can feel supported and encouraged by other women.
Our female membership now makes up almost 50% of the club and that is something we are really proud of. You can find out more about these rides and what other members feel about them here:

I was quite nervous about my first ride with the club but I really didn’t need to be and was made to feel welcome straight away, soon making some fantastic friends.
VBCC is an awesome cycling club with extremely friendly members, rides to suit all levels and abilities as well as some excellent social events. Joining the club was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Joining VBCC gave me a real cycling family that helped my cycling & gave me a great friendship group. Mid week rides are great and well paced to suit everyone. Weekend rides are a chance to challenge yourself and social rides are just a great laugh and of course the Christmas party! Great club to belong to. Thank you.
Having joined VBCC 7 years ago, I have never looked back, right from my first ride with the club, I got great advice on how to ride safely in a group, and lots of encouragement as I was fairly slow to start with. The clubs 'no drop' policy reassured me and along with some great support I developed. I feel a real part of this club and now aim to help others. What makes it special is the camaraderie, the support, the banter, and the genuine friendship of the membership.
Our cycling club (VBCC)is a welcoming, friendly, and inclusive group where everyone is encouraged to join, whatever their experience or ability. Every ride is about enjoying the journey together, supporting one another, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. It's a fantastic way to meet great friends, explore new places, and be part of a community that makes every cycle ride enjoyable.
